Research On The Protection And Reuse Of Industrial Building Heritage Based On Space Syntax

The adjustment and transformation of industrial structure and the rapid development of urbanization have provided conditions for urban development but also brought problems,such as a large number of industrial building heritage.Nowadays,the practice of protection and reuse of industrial architectural heritage is more and more extensive.Based on the spatial characteristics of industrial architectural heritage,its protection method and purpose are different from traditional cultural relics,and the renewal design of spatial layout is also very different from new buildings.How to carry out reasonable transformation on the basis of retaining the original texture and shape structure of the building to the maximum extent,so that the industrial architectural heritage can be reintegrated into urban life and radiate new vitality is our current hot issue.In practice,the renewal design of the spatial layout for the protection and reuse of industry architecture is short of scientific theory instruction.Over the past thirty years,a gradually developing new spatial research method has emerged,known as spatial syntax.It studies the mutual influence between spatial configuration and human behavior patterns,and aims to reveal the deep structure of spatial systems that affect the economy and society.Spatial syntax studies the logical relationships between spaces,rather than just the spatial form.This article elaborates on the theory of spatial syntax,explains the relevant concepts of architectural space under spatial syntax,and proposes the feasibility of introducing spatial syntax theory into the reuse of industrial heritage at various levels of research objects.Based on the theory of spatial syntax,this article conducts an intervention analysis of industrial heritage and analyzes and summarizes the interrelationships between urban block space and industrial heritage space.Through the field investigation and analysis of Anshan’s industrial building heritage,this thesis puts forward problems on the current situation of Anshan’s industrial building heritage,and analyzes and summarizes them with relevant cases.Using space syntax as a tool,this thesis summarizes the internal relationship between Anshan industrial architectural heritage and Anshan City,and summarizes and puts forward the strategies and principles for the protection and utilization of Anshan industrial architectural heritage to provide certain theoretical guidance for the followup research on the same type of cities or buildings.Further summarize the strategies and methods for the protection and reuse of Anshan industrial building heritage,find the problems and limitations in the research,and look forward to the follow-up research.
