Aiming at the detection of structural cracks in aircraft repair sheets,a microstrip antenna sensor for detecting metal cracks is proposed in this paper.The sensor is made of alumina ceramic and metal silver paste with high temperature resistance,corrosion resistance and hardness.Therefore,the sensor can be applied to harsh environments with high corrosion,high rotation and high load.The sensor overcomes the shortcomings of the traditional non-destructive testing technology that can not be detected online,and can track and detect the metal crack online in real time.The sensor not only accurately detects the width of the crack but also determines the direction of metal crack propagation,while also detecting sub-millimeter cracks.In this paper,two different test methods are designed based on the microstrip patch antenna structure.The designed wireless passive sensor has the advantages of small size,wireless,fast,self-excitation,etc.,fully and future intelligent sensing and new type.Non-destructive testing technology is compatible.The research work of this paper can be summarized as:(1)Research and summary of traditional metal crack non-destructive testing technology,combined with the advantages of traditional non-destructive testing,a new type of metal crack non-destructive testing technology is proposed in this paper.(2)The structure of the microstrip patch antenna is studied.The calculation formula of the resonant frequency and structure size of the sensor is obtained by analyzing the radiation mechanism and transmission mode of the microstrip antenna sensor.The feed type of microstrip antenna sensor is summarized.Finally,the sensitive mechanism of microstrip antenna sensor is proposed.(3)A microstrip antenna wired sensor is designed,and the principle of sensor testing metal crack is expounded.The structure of the sensor is simulated and optimized by using high frequency simulation software HFSS.The material of the sensor is studied in depth.The alumina and metal silver paste are selected as the sensor materials,and the thick film technology and screen printing process are adopted.Sensors are fabricated and a platform for testing metal cracks with wired sensors is built,and the ability of the sensor to detect metal cracks is tested from one direction of metal crack(4)The principle of wireless passive sensor testing is proposed.The sensor is used to detect the direction of metal crack propagation.The wireless test platform is built.The ability of the sensor to detect metal cracks is verified from the three directions of the sensor radiating patch.
