The Application Of Sichuan Architecture In Dining Space Design

With the recently rapid economic growth,people have higher demands for experiencing the catering culture when dining.Therefore,the regional architectural cultureshave beenincreasingly reflected in the modern dining space design.Among them,the Sichuanarchitecture has special and typical characteristics because of cultures of the surrounding mountains and minorities.Its specialty and typicality is represented in terms of architectural layouts,structural styles,decorative forms and cultural features of buildings.As being an integral part of the art of ancient Chinese architecture,Sichuan ancient architecture was deeply influenced by the Central Plains architectural culture.This paper first discusses the concept of Sichuanarchitectural culture and the reasons of its formation.We then sort out Sichuan architectural characteristics,spatial layouts and structural features.By combining the background and requirements of the selected location with the design standards of modern dining space,we provide the plans of remote construction and design by adding the elements of Sichuan architectural culture.Furthermore,we discuss the restrictive factors of Sichuan architectural culture in remote construction,such as climate differences and material selection.Thestrategies and solutionsto those limitations are also proposed.This paper aims toimprove the application of the Sichuanarchitectural culture into modern dining space design.
