With the increasingly prominent urban traffic problems,vigorous development of public transportation has become an important measure for the development of modern urban transportation.As an important part of urban public transportation,conventional public transportation has the characteristics of large passenger capacity and less road resources.Increasing the bus sharing rate can effectively alleviate the traffic congestion problem.Therefore,it is particularly important to advocate “bus priority” to improve the bus service level and increase its attractiveness.During the operation of the bus,there are mainly delays at the signalized intersections.Therefore,it is the research focus of this paper to achieve bus priority at the intersection and reduce the delay at the intersection.First of all,this paper summarizes the domestic and international research status of the theory and method of realizing bus priority in time and space.Based on this,the serial design idea is put forward,and the basic principle of the design method is expounded.And improve the utilization rate of the imported lanes,and analyze the characteristics of all three types of tandem design layouts: partial,partial and general.Secondly,this paper studies the basic conditions of the tandem design of signalized intersections,proposes the calculation method of the length of the vehicle sorting area,sets up the pre-signal system for an entrance channel of the intersection,and realizes the priority of the bus signal through the coordinated design of the main pre-signal.Thirdly,the traffic efficiency of intersections is mainly considered,and the main indicators of the benefit evaluation of signalized intersections are delayed.According to the arrival and departure rules of vehicles,the arrival and departure curves of vehicles at intersections are drawn,and the delays of public transport vehicles,direct social vehicles and left-turn vehicles are calculated.The comparative analysis uses the change in the efficiency of the intersection before and after the tandem design.Finally,taking the intersection of Dongnanhu Road and Donghuancheng Road in Changchun City as the research object,the serial design of the west entrance of the intersection is carried out,and the main signal and pre-signal of the intersection are coordinated and designed.Delays in variation have validated the effectiveness of the tandem design approach.
