Rural landscapes are accompanied by the emergence of farming civilization, have the value of economic, social, ecological, aesthetic, etc. However, due to the impact of technological development and rapid urbanization, the traditional rural landscape has been destroyed.A large number of villages are located in the shallow mountain areas, which between the city and the mountains. In recent years, these villages have gradually gained the attention of society. However, there is no systematic planning model for the shallow mountain areas in China. The concept of "Satoyama" in Japan is relatively mature. It has formed a complete set of planning management ideas, and has research significance.Firstly, through the research of relevant academic achievements, summarize the main content of rural landscape planning, analyze the value and current situation of the villages in the shallow mountain areas, summarize the connotation, development process and application points of Satoyama, then refining planning strategies in shallow mountain areas.Secondly, select representative cases and analyze their planning concepts, strategies, design techniques, etc.,evaluate the implementation effects.Summarizes the sustainable rural landscape planning and design strategies combined with the conclusions of theoretical research. Finally, taking Biyunfeng Village as an example, explore the practical application of sustainable rural landscape planning strategies, sort out the current conditions and problems of Biyunfeng Village, and determine the planning objectives and strategies. The planning project will be improved in three levels:master plan, detailed design of core area, and architectural design.
