Community Healing Landscape Design In The Process Of Aging Society

Aging society is nowadays a serious problem,while the healing landscape can improve the mental health and life quality of the elderly.Building an environment with healing effects for example:building a multi-faceted emotion with plants and medical healing system intervention,can enhance the self-confidence of the elderly,increase communication and eliminate loneliness,the sense of inferiority and other negative emotions.It is conducive to improving the community’s centripetal force and promote the development of a harmonious society.Taking Xiamen Mayflower district as an example,Literature research,case analysis,field survey,interview,summarizing induction was be used in this research.Through these methods,we designed a healing landscape for elders in Mayflower community.To this issue,this article will explore it in three parts.The first part is the problem-based basic research.Firstly,it expounds the phenomena and problems of the aging social process,discusses the related concepts of the community healing landscape,and then analyzes the cases of the healing landscape for the elderly at home and abroad.The second part is the project specific microcosmic state research,visiting and researching on Xiamen Mayflower community.The research on the base is mainly carried out by occasional field research and filming for up to two years.Also,we analysed the changes in the base texture and the association with the trajectory of the elderly in the community.We chosed 20 interviewee-elders in Mayflower community stochasticly and made a follow-up visits,analysis and summarize of their basic information.life patterns and behavioral trajectories.So we got their material and spiritual needs,which provide basis for this practice design.The third part is to design the practice,according to the relevant researches and surveys concluded.With these basis and analysis,we designed a healing landscape forXiamen Mayflower community.There’s three aspects in this design strategy,community interactive vegetable garden and horticultural operations healing place,five-sense experience garden for the elderly and public facilities designed for the elderly with healing properties.The specific design strategy to start a detailed design analysis.
