| With the rapidly increasing of the aging population,improving the construction level of pension institution of China,providing the elderly livable living environment,and ensuring the quality of later life and physical & mental health turn into a great research value of the subject.When visited Lin'an city social welfare centre,Social welfare center of Hangzhou,Hangzhou No.2 social welfare home,and West lake Section Social welfare center,research methods such as field research,questionnaire survey are used,summarizing 9 main conclusions about the behavior characteristics and the preferences of the elderly:(1)The accessibility is the principal factor which affects the frequency the elderly visiting a healing garden.The perfect barrier-free design of green space can greatly increase its accessibility.(2)14:00-17:00 and 8:00-12:00 are the two peak periods when the old people visit the garden,moreover,5:00-8:00 and 17:00-19:00 are the two small peak periods.(3)The top five favorite activity for the elderly in the garden from high to low in the order of walking > chatting > doing morning exercises > staying alone > using fitness equipment.The elderly prefer to doing activities with 2-5 people,and some of them tend to doing activities alone,and only a small proportion of old people visiting the garden in a large group of more than 6 people.(4)The pleasant microclimate conditions,the adequate and comfortable rest facilities and the beautiful scenery are the main factors attracting the old people,meanwhile the lack of barrier-free design and rest facilities prevents the elderly visiting the place.(5)As for the pebble path,different old people hold different attitudes,some of them very like it,while some are refused to use it,so the main traffic road of the garden should never be paved with pebble.(6)The old people like a garden full of different kinds of plants,they prefer to admire the plants which can blossom and bear fruit,and they love flowers with bright eye-catching colors,such as red,pink,orange and yellow,besides,they are fond of the larger size flowers,and planting flowers in groups.(7)The soundscape in the garden means an ecological environment,and presents a nature full of vigor,which promotes the happiness of the elderly.(8)The comfort level of the rest facilities in the garden is one of the important factors affecting the utilization of them.The material of the seat is the primary factor influencing the comfort level.(9)The signboard designed for the elderly should be amplified appropriately,to ensure that the image and text are clearly,meanwhile the brighter and more easily perceived colors should be adopt.Based on these conclusions,healing garden planning and design methods with Hangzhou regional characteristics is raised,combining the regional climate,native plants and regional culture of Hangzhou.Combine the region characteristics of Hangzhou,with the special needs of old people,the planning and design requirements of the microclimate environment(light,heat,wind,and humidity),the acoustic environment and the vision environment are put forward.The design key points of the important factors of healing garden such as the space,vertical terrain,roads,water body,plants,seat facilities,marking system,other facilities and so on are present in the paper,and a set of landscape design method of healing garden which is suitable for old people is summarized,in order to provide a reference for the construction of the pension institution's outdoor environment. |
