In recent years,while China’s rapid industrial development,the consumption of natural resources,the degree of environmental damage,and the generation of waste have also increased dramatically.The deterioration of the ecological environment is a major crisis facing the survival and development of our people.Under the premise of the current level of social and economic development and the avoidance of deterioration of the ecological environment,how to achieve a green economy and a low-carbon economy and promote sustainable economic,social and environmental development is a key task that needs urgent response.In this paper,the physical and mechanical properties,chemical composition and appearance of steel slag and fly ash were analyzed.The relavant experiments have been conducted while the steel slag and fly ash ultilized as construction materials.(1)The experimental research on steel slag fly ash asphalt mixture was carried out for the surface layer of pavement in road engineering,including the mix design of steel slag fly ash asphalt mixture,Marshall test,high temperature rutting test,water immersion Marshall test,freeze-thaw splitting Test,low temperature bending test.The test results show that: steel slag replaces some fine aggregate,fly ash replaces half of mineral powder as filler,the asphalt mixture has higher temperature stability and water stability than ordinary asphalt mixture,but its low temperature crack resistance reduced.(2)The experimental research on cement fly ash stabilized steel slag-crushing composites was carried out for the base layer of pavement in road engineering,including heavy-duty compaction test,7d unconfined compressive strength test,90 d tensile strength test,90 d pressure rebound modulus test.The test results show that the mechanical properties of cement fly ash stabilized steel slag-crushed composites are lower than those of cement fly ash stabilized ordinary gravel,but still can meet the requirements of all kinds of road base layer to cement fly ash stabilized materials.However,from the perspective of indoor test,this paper studies the basic mechanical properties and road performance of steel slag and fly ash in asphalt mixture and cement fly ash stabilized base materials.How do the steel slag and fly ash use to road engineering,a large number of engineering experience from practical projects should be summarized.
