The Construction In The Historic Documents Of Xiongxian County And The Study Of Local Heritage Conservation

Xiong County in Hebei Province is an important part of the Xiong’an New District,which has been called a thousand-year project.The earliest construction of Xiongxian County was in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.It was set up as administrative organizations in the Tang Dynasty,built as a town during the period of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms,acted as a state of military defense at the Northern Song,downgraded into a county in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,and now it is under the jurisdiction of Baoding City,Hebei Province.The“Xiong” character of Xiong’an New District is from Xiong County.It has a crucial location:the terminal of the nine rivers,the country’s guardian of Beijing and Tianjin.Located in the hinterland of the North China Plain,Xiong County is the only way to the northern plateau and mountainous areas.Its special geographical conditions have played an important role in an extremely long historical period.As a city to be built in the next few decades,Xiong County has not been studied about the history of local architecture and urban development systematically yet.The main research method in this paper is the documentation method.The documents are mainly based on classical documents,including local county annals,state records,and government history,as well as some work about history,geography,and notes.Through the collection,collation,interpretation,analysis,and research of relevant documents,we revealed the changes of the natural environment around Xiong County from ancient times to the present,discussed and revivified the location and trend of some existing mountains and rivers.The building experience from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Republic of China is studied.The change from a military town to a normal town is also discussed.And the author takes the county in the Ming and Qing dynasties as an example,summed up the characteristics of the urban pattern of Xiongxian County,combined with historical materials,roughly inferred the urban division,street orientation and construction of Xiongxian County in the Qing Dynasty.layout.The paper studies the important buildings in the county,such as the county government,the county school,the Xiongguan,the nursing home,the Guiyi post house,the Mashen Temple,and the existing ancient tunnels between Song and Liao,and speculates on its shape,layout,and function.In addition,based on the Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,the related factors of the construction activities of the ancient Xiong County were analyzed,involving geography,politics,military,transportation,economy and culture.Among them,the military defense methods of the Xiongzhou City in the Northern Song Dynasty were discussed.Finally,combing the existing material and intangible cultural heritage of Xiong County,and proposing ideas for the protection of local heritage.Through the analysis and discussion of urban history,reviewing the development process,clarifying the factors affecting urban construction in various eras and finding relevant laws,this paper will provide a reference for the construction of Xiong’an New District and the urban planning,architectural design and heritage protection of Xiongxian District.
