The forest in the west mountain area of Beijing is not only an important ecological barrier for Beijing, but also an important forest tourism resource, providing a place for citizens to travel, vacation, rest, forest health, cultural entertainment and scientific education. In order to improve the stand quality and landscape quality of Xishan landscape forest in Beijing, this paper investigated the natural resources and distributions of Beijing Xishan landscape forest, and select typical land as research objects, such as Pinus tabulaeformis and Quercus variabilis mixed forest in Xishan National Forest Park,Platycladus orientalis foresty,Acer truncatum forest,Robinia pseudoacacia forest,Pinus tabulaeformis forest of Wofo Temple which near Beijing Botanical Park.Evaluate the stand quality and landscape quality of typical landscape forest in the west mountain area of Beijing through investigating the samples and combining with the theories related to the evaluation of scenic recreation forest and scenic beauty degree,so as to put forward management suggestions aiming at improving the torest beauty degree andscenic beauty degree. The main research results are as follows:According to the results of the investigation of different types of landscape forest, types of analysis are divided into above ground, litter layer and soil layer. The part of above ground mainly analyzes the differences between the species composition, diameter class structure, vertical structure, coverage and the leaf area index of different samples. The part of litter layer mainly analyzes litter water-holding ability of different samples. The part of soil layer mainly analyzes soil moisture,so1l pH and the content of organic matter,N,P,K.The results showed that the average DBH,structural characteristics, vegetation cover and beauty of the stand were better than those of the stand without management. However, there was little difference in soil nutrient status, which indicated that management had better improvement effect on overground part of stand. The overall stand quality and beauty degree of Pinus tabulaeformis and Quercus variabilis mixed forest were better than that of Pinus tabulaeformis pure forest, which showes that coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest could improve landscape and stand quality. The soil fertility of Robinia pseudoacacia stand is better than that of other stands, which indicates that planting legumes like Robinia psezdoacacia can improve soil fertility. There was a significant correlation between soil water holding capacity and litter thickness in forestland.so proper preservation of litter in stands is beneficial to water conservation and soil conservationScreen out landscape forest photographs conformed with SBE,which will be the material of web SBE questionnaires. And the receive scores must standard be standardized.Sort the SBE scores of the different landscape forest as:Pinus tabuaeformis and Quercus variabilis mixed forest>managed Platycladus orientalis forest>Pinus tabulaeformis forest>Robinia pseudoacacia forest>Acer truncatum forest>unmanaged Platycladus orientalis forest. This sort shows the beauty of the mixed forest is obviously better than that of pure forest. The beauty of the managed stand is better than that of the unmanaged stand. As a highly ornamental color-leaf tree species,Acer truncatum's landscape quality is obviously affected by its understory environment due to its lack of management.Analyze the correlation between the standardized SBE scores and the landscape elements in the landscap forest with SPSS to find out the key structural elements and take management proposals for improving different landscape forests'beauty. The results showed that improving the community level and increasing the permeability of forest plays an important role in improving the landscape.
