"The Belt and Road Initiative" was proposed by Chinese President Xi in 2013,aimed at promoting economic and social development between China and its neighboring countries.The initiative points to the importance of connectivity.Through the interconnection of countries,we will further promote mutual business exchanges,economic exchanges and cultural exchanges.ASEAN is strategically located in the hub of the Pacific and Indian Ocean,Asia and Australia.Railway is an important traffic carrier for communication and trade among countries.Railway is a key node for promoting the infrastructure connectivity of China and ASEAN.Through the study on the cooperation mode of railway connectivity construction between China and ASEAN,this paper attempts to put forward innovative ideas,enrich the research theory of railway connectivity and provide suggestions for the railway connectivity construction of China-ASEAN.Principal component analysis and case analysis were used in the research process.The first chapter introduces the research background and significance,core concepts and related theoretical foundations,literature review and research content.The second chapter describes the status quo and existing problems of railway connectivity construction between China and ASEAN.The third chapter analyses the environment of railway connectivity construction between China and ASEAN.The fourth chapter introduces the contents of the cooperation mode of railway construction and the cases of China-Thailand Railway,China-Indonesia Railway,and China-Laos Railway.On this basis,the experience and enlightenment are summarized.The last chapter combines the previous article to explain the choice of the cooperation mode of railway connectivity construction between China and ASEAN.Studies have shown that the different investment environments of ASEAN countries will affect the choice of the cooperation mode of railway connectivity construction between China and ASEAN.Therefore,this paper points out that for ASEAN countries with better investment environment,ABS/TOT+EPC/partnering+individual contracted operation mode/individual contracted transport organization mode can be considered;for ASEAN countries with medium investment environment,PPP/TOT+EPC+joint contracted operation mode/joint contracted transportation organization mode can be considered;for ASEAN countries with poor investment environment,BOT+ joint contracted operation mode can be considered.
