The rapid development of the economy has led to the emergence of large-scale projects.As an important means of project schedule management,network planning has also achieved great development and is widely used in various types of project management.The construction project has the characteristics of long cycle,large investment volume and complex factors.The goal of project management is to achieve reasonable scheduling of resources to ensure a faster and better project completion under resource restrictions.The construction technology and scheduling required by modern engineering result in the generalized precedence relationships between processes,which explains the Generalized Precedence Relations network plan can better reflect engineering reality compared with traditional CPM method.Paradoxes of key processes within the GPRs network always put planning in a delimma.Given by this,researches on the key process paradox help project managers realize the problem by discovering potential vulnerabilities existed in the network plan,achieve more scientific and rational planning and scheduling of the project and provide theoretical guidance for the lean management of the project.In early 1992,Professor Elmaghraby and Kamburowski discovered some paradoxes about key processes in the network plan.In later scientific research,the total duration and maneuver paradoxes discovered by scholars provide an important direction for the study of time-cost optimization in network planning.Through the study of the paradox phenomenon existing in the GPRs network,this paper explores forms of the decomposition paradox in the GPRs network plan and the application of the paradox in network plan optimization.Firstly,this paper introduces the paradox of key process decomposition in the GPRs networks and maximum constraint networks aiming at the optimization of construction period and focusing on key processes.Secondly,this paper is searching for a common method to solve deposition paradoxes,and a optimized decomposition measurement and make a reasonable ratiocination.Finally,the decomposition paradox is expanded to find the manifestation of the decomposition paradox on non-critical processes,mainly the impact on the total time difference.In this paper,through the research on drivers in the GPRs network,coupled with the repetitive project scheduling technology and the minimum cost target model,applied decomposition optimization method to the schedule optimization and duration-cost optimization,which proves the practical application value of the decomposition optimization method in the GPRs network.
