With the rapid development of today's urbanization process,large-scale urbanization has destroyed some ancient cities,and the historical and cultural blocks,also part of the ancient city,have not been spared.As a material carrier connecting and communicating between local traditional culture and modern residents' life,historical and cultural blocks play an important role in protecting local traditional culture,inheriting historical culture and displaying local traditional features.However,the status quo of some historical and cultural blocks is that the public infrastructure is lagging behind and the living environment is poor.Xinzhou Xiurong Ancient City in Shanxi Province has a long history and profound cultural heritage.It has a high historical and cultural value.The ancient city of Xinzhou is also facing the same situation.It has gradually become the region with the highest population density and serious lag in public infrastructure in Xinzhou City.Most of the cultural relics need to be preserved urgently.In the interior of the ancient city,the situation of some historical and cultural blocks is even more worrying.This paper selects the study of landscape design and protection and restoration in the Shuyuanxiang Cultural Street of Xinzhou Ancient City.Under the premise of studying a large amount of materials and field research,it studies on the original planning pattern and style of the ancient city of Xinzhou,taking into account the principles of landscape design and local history.The mutual integration of cultures will carry out all-round landscape design and renovation of the College Street Cultural District.The design should maximize the original advantages of the district,and revitalize the charm of the Shuxiangxiang Cultural District,which can not only meet the residents' needs,but also attract the surrounding tourists and highlight the characteristics of Xinzhou.
