With the rapid development of the economy,environmental pollution and energy shortages are more and more serious,which are mainly caused by the emission of the waste gas and fuel consumption in the transportation field,so most countries pay their attention to the development of battery electric vehicles.Battery electric vehicles have the advantages of zero release and high energy efficiency,which contributes to reducing pollutants emission and relieving the energy shortages.The electronic control system is the brain of battery electric vehicles,and the electronic control technology is the core technology for the development of battery electric vehicles.Based on the literature investigation method and patent information analysis method,this paper analyzes the electronic control system of battery electric vehicle from the patent early warning analysis perspective.Firstly,this paper analyzes the patent application trend,technical originality countries,technical distribution countries,technical composition and technical leaders of integral electronic control system.Secondly,this paper analyzes the patent application trend,technical originality countries,technical distribution countries,technical composition and technical leaders of primary branches of electronic control system.Finally,this paper analyzes the risk of important patents.The battery electric vehicle electronic control system has 30271 patent applications,which include 10663 patent applications from China and 19608 patent applications from other countries.The main technology original countries of electronic control systems are Japan,China,the United States,South Korea,and Germany.Most applicants of original patents are from these countries.Japan,China,the United States,Europe,and South Korea are the target countries for the patents arrangement,The innovation entities in the field of electronic control systems are willing to apply for patents in these regions.The battery electric vehicle electronic control system is mainly composed of vehicle control system,motor control system and battery management system.The number of vehicle control system patent applications is 9828.The motor control system has 7016 patent applications.The battery management system has 13427 patent applications.The technology branches of vehicle control system are mainly the vehicle controller hardware,powertrain drive control strategy and regenerative brake control strategy,which have larger patent risk.The technology branches of motor control system are motor controller hardware,motor vector control method,motor rotor position sensor control method and motor voltage control method,which have larger patent risk.The technology branches of battery management system are battery state detection,battery thermal management,battery equalization control and battery charge and discharge control,which have larger patent risk.Most of technical leaders in battery electric vehicle electronic control system are from foreign countries,such as Toyota Motor Corporation,Nissan Motor Corporation,Mitsubishi Group,Hyundai Group,Hitachi Group,Honda Corporation,LG Group,Ford Motor Company,General Motors Corporation,Aisin Aida Corporation,Bosch Group,Samsung Group,Matsushita Group.Domestic companies should regard these technical leaders as the main target of patent risk prevention.There are 79 risk patents from foreign technical leaders in China,which are mainly in the battery state detection field of battery management systems.Domestic enterprises should add these risk patents into the intellectual property management memorandum,which is ready for the risk investigation of technology research and patent applications.
