Shortening the production cycle and improving the reliability of delivery time are the keys for modem manufacturing enterprises to win in the competition.How to rationalize the production process and improve the production efficiency has a direct impact on the shortening of the production cycle.As a foreign-owned manufacturer engaged in the assembly and manufacture of traditional pumps and valves,F company's manufacturing mode belongs to the customized manufacturing of small batches and varieties.The company is facing various challenges such as long nanufacturing process,slow inventory turnover,long production cycle and customer delayed delivery.In this paper,the pump factory of F company is taken as an example.lean production theory and Value Stream Mapping analysis technology are both used to analyze H-type pump's production and processing process,then the improvement and optimization scheme of production process is put forward.Firstly,on the base of actual collection data the current value flow chart is drew through analyzing the current situation of H-type pump products and the existing problems in the process of production.secondly,the production process improvement opportunity point is selected and then the future value flow chart is drew starting from the analysis of eight wastes of lean production,with the non-value-added information flow found out using the Value Stream Mapping analysis method.Finally,according to these improvement points,the production process improvement and optimization scheme is given.By adjusting the plant production layout,optimizing bottleneck processes,implementing Kanban management,standardizing of 5S production field,improving the production process action as well as other optimization measures,it can help F company eliminate more hidden waste,reduce material and in-transit inventory,shorten delivery cycle,as well as improve production efficiency and customer satisfaction.This paper provides a lot of theoretical basis and suggestions for F company's actual production business process optimization,together with specific optimization measures,hoping to provide practical reference for other manufacturing enterprises.
