The reservoir water level monitoring is an important task of the water conservancy department.The real-time monitoring of reservoir water level changes is of great significance to people's production and life.With the maturity of image processing technology,image and video surveillance technology is also an important monitoring tool in environmental monitoring.Reservoir water level monitoring is often measured by manual means or traditional water level sensors.Manual monitoring is time-consuming and labor-intensive,and it is difficult to monitor in real time in bad weather conditions.The development of image recognition technology will better serve water level monitoring.Based on the above situation,this paper develops an automatic water level monitor for reservoir based on image recognition.Combined with the single-chip technology,the camera uses the camera to shoot the water level image in the reservoir,and uses image processing technology to identify the captured water level image.The water level gauge adopts a new two-dimensional code identification structure.The monitor housing is a self-designed mechanical structure.The two push-pull electromagnets are used to automatically switch the housing to meet the requirements of waterproof and dustproof when the monitor is used outside.STM32F407 is used as the main control chip for automatic monitoring of reservoir water level.The image acquisition part is mainly composed of STM32F407ZET6 and OV5640 cameras.This part is responsible for collecting the water level image of the new two-dimensional code identification.The camera is connected to the STM32F407 MCU through the DCMI interface.The monitor consists of a voltage regulator circuit consisting of lm2595-5.0 and lm2596-3.3,It can be powered by solar panels.which converts the 24 V voltage input from the external power module to 5V and 3.3V.In addition,the monitor further includes an SD card for storing picture information captured by the camera and a GPRS module for communicating with the host computer.The single-chip microcomputer is connected with the raindrop sensor outside the monitor housing,and intelligently monitors according to the external rainfall.The acquired image uses a series of image processing techniques,including gray processing,filtering processing,binarization processing and image morphology processing to obtain the desired image,and then feature point extraction and water level information acquisition for the image processed image.Innovative design of reservoir water level automatic monitor: 1.A new water level structure is designed,which is convenient for image processing and the recognition algorithm is simpler.2.The water level monitor can intelligently measure the water level by monitoring the external environment.3.The water level monitor can be powered by solar panels,which is more energy efficient.At the end of the paper,the actual application of the monitor is carried out to measure the water level.The measurement results show that the monitor can effectively monitor the water level of the reservoir,and the operation reliability is high and the measurement accuracy is high.The reservoir water level automatic monitor will provide greater assistance for water level monitoring.
