Due to the characteristics of convenience, low price, environmental protection and health,non-motorized vehicles are more and more popular and valued by people, and become an indispensable means of transportation for residents to travel daily. With the rapid development of non-motorized vehicles, its travel mode has gradually shifted from bicycle travel to bicycle and electric bicycle travel and even more diversified travel modes. The mixed non-motorized vehicle traffic flow has a great impact on the efficiency and safety of non-motor vehicle lane, and also puts forward higher requirements for the time-space planning and management method of non-motorized vehicle riding. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the characteristics of mixed non-motorized vehicle traffic flow and use it as the theoretical support for mixed non-motorized vehicle traffic control and time-space planning of riding. The main contents of this article are as follows:The characteristics of mixed non-motorized traffic flow on road sections were studied.Firstly, based on a large number of actual survey data, this article analyzed the relationship of three parameters of mixed non-motorized vehicle traffic flow on road sections, and used regression analysis method to construct the model. At the same time, the relationship between the width of non-motorized vehicle lane and the three parameters was explored.Secondly, the speed distribution and influencing factors of mixed non-motorized vehicles on road sections were explored and analyzed, and the speed model of mixed non-motor vehicles on road sections was constructed. Finally, the influencing factors of non-motorized vehicles' behaviors of occupying motorized vehicle lanes were analyzed, and the bivariate logistic regression analysis was used to construct the non-motorized vehicle illegal occupancy rate model. The characteristics of mixed non-motorized traffic flow at signalized intersections were studied.Firstly, based on the field survey data, this article analyzed the arrival distribution of non-motorized vehicles at signalized intersections.Secondly, the queuing process of non-motorized vehicles accumulation at signalized intersections was explored. The research contents included non-motorized vehicle queuing density, acceleration and deceleration process and its influencing factors. Finally, the speed characteristics of non-motorized vehicles passing through signalized intersections are explored. The research contents included the initial release rate of non-motorized vehicles, the velocity distribution at signalized intersections and its influencing factors analysis. At the same time,on this basis, the article used linear regression method to build the average speed model of mixed non-motorized vehicles passing through signalized intersections.Time-space planning and management method of non-motorized vehicle riding were studied.Firstly, the non-motor vehicle width planning design of the road section was carried out in combination with the three-parameter characteristics of the mixed non-motorized vehicle traffic flow in the above study and code for design of urban road engineering. In addition, combined with the characteristics of non-motorized vehicle illegal occupancy behavior in the above study, the corresponding non-motorized vehicles management strategy was proposed. Finally, based on the non-motorized vehicle traffic flow characteristics of the signalized intersections studied above, combined with the four-phase signalized intersection conflict characteristics, the t ime and space planning of non-motorized riding at the intersection was carried out.
