Research On Manufacturability Analysis System Of Car Body Parts Based On Concurrent Engineering

The mode of the traditional body development is the serial mode,from the design department to the process department.Some manufacturing problems are not discovered in the product designing process until the product start small batch production,which causes serious waste of resources and time.The manufacturability design based on the idea of parallel engineering is a method to solve such problems? It means making the analysis and detection of possible manufacturing problems at the initial stage of design.However,in practice,due to the lack of corresponding manufacturability analysis tools,the repeated modification of the design and the repeated coordination between the design department and the manufacturing department have affected the product development cycle.Therefore,this paper studies the manufacturability analysis system of car body parts,aiming to develop a tool for designers that can improve the effectiveness of manufacturability analysis for the car body parts.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)With the studying of the manufacturability analysis content of the parts,we have identified a feature-based analysis system.The system analyzes from three aspects: the part and the feature relationship and the feature unit.The core process of the analysis is to compare the features of parts and manufacturability knowledge.(2)Based on the B-rep boundary model,we use the CAA development tool automatically recognizes the features of the body parts from the layer of the geometric topology in the CATIA 3D modeling software.Through the object-oriented method,the various feature information of the part is modeled,and the intelligent extraction of the feature information of the part is realized.(3)Based on the expert system theory,a library of manufacturability analysis rules is established.Firstly,the knowledge of manufacturability related knowledge is classified.Then,based on the principle of manufacturability knowledge expression,the knowledge expression method based on production rules is realized.Finally,the concept of rule set is put forward,and the rule base of manufacturability analysis is established.The reasoning mechanism of the expert system is studied,and the knowledge reasoning mechanism based on rule set is realized.(4)The system was finally implemented through various development tools,and the feasibility of the system was verified by some examples.
