Petroleum asphalt is a product in the process of petroleum processing,so petroleum asphalt is also a non-renewable resource.Due to the rapid development of the transportation industry in China,a large number of high-grade roads need to be built,so it will consume a lot of petroleum asphalt.This is inconsistent with the environmental protection concept of saving non-renewable resources,so it is urgent to find a kind of road construction material which is renewable,has large reserves and is green and can completely replace or partially replace petroleum asphalt.In this paper,the bio-oil made from sawdust by rapid pyrolysis technology is used as the substitute of petroleum asphalt.The purpose of this paper is to use part of bio-oil instead of petroleum asphalt to save non-renewable energy,but the addition of bio-oil will affect the performance of petroleum asphalt,so it is difficult to be applied in practical engineering.In this paper,the use of SBS modifiers to improve the performance of bio-asphalt and mixture.In order to explore the road performance of SBS modified bio-asphalt and its mixture,firstly,the preparation technology of bio-asphalt and SBS modified bio-asphalt was selected by three indexes of asphalt test,secondly,using the experiments of penetration,softening point,ductility,rotational viscosity and temperature sensing performance to select the reasonable content of bio-oil.Through the analysis of the test results,this paper chooses 40%bio-oil content to carry on the modification research of the bio-asphalt,and then through the asphalt three indexes test,Rotational viscosity test and storage stability test were used to select the proper modifier content.Finally,the SBS content was 5%through the analysis of the test results.The modified bio-asphalt is prepared by using reasonable amount of bio-oil and modifier,which is called "40%modified bio-asphalt","40%modified bio-asphalt","10%modified bio-asphalt","10%bio-asphalt" as the research object.The influence of the content of bio-oil on the performance of modified bio-asphalt and the effect of modifier addition on the performance of bio-asphalt were investigated by means of the tests of conventional performance test,temperature sensing property,aging property and adhesion property of asphalt.The analysis of the test results shows that the conventional performance and aging property of the modified bio-asphalt decreases with the increase of bio-oil content,and the performance of the modified bio-asphalt can be obviously improved by the addition of modifier.finally,the modified bio-asphalt mixture is matched and designed by the Marshall test,and then the modified bio-asphalt mixture is subjected to a high-temperature performance test,a low-temperature performance test,a water stability performance test and an aging performance test,The experiment results show that the increase of the amount of the bio-oil has an adverse effect on the properties of the modified bio-asphalt mixture,and the effect on the high-temperature performance and the water stability of the mixed material can be small,and the effect on the low-temperature performance of the mixed material is relatively large,and the effect on the performance of the mixed material after short-term aging is small,And the performance of the mixed material after long-term aging is greatly affected.The addition of the modifier can improve the performance of the bio-asphalt mixture.
