Epoxy asphalt can fundamentally change the thermoplasticity of asphalt,giving excellent physical and mechanical properties of asphalt,so that the epoxy asphalt mixture of road performance is far greater than other ordinary asphalt.However,there is a disadvantage that the epoxy resin tends to be insufficient in flexibility due to the large rigidity.In this paper,epoxy resin(EP)was modified by polyurethane(PU),and PU-EP modified asphalt was prepared by modified epoxy resin.In this paper,the epoxy resin is modified by polyurethane,and the modified epoxy resin is modified to further improve the flexibility of epoxy asphalt.The best formulation of PU-EP modified asphalt was determined by tensile test,compatibility test and viscosity test: 1part of asphalt+0.135 parts of polyurethane+0.45 parts of epoxy resin+0.315 parts of curing agent+0.045 parts of phase Compatibilizer +curing temperature 160 ?+curing time 8 hours.And then through the tensile performance test,high temperature performance test,low temperature performance test and adhesion performance test shows that the addition of PU can significantly enhance the flexibility of epoxy asphalt,which can effectively compensate for the shortcomings of the shortage of epoxy asphalt.The PU-EP modified asphalt high temperature rutting resistance slightly worse than epoxy asphalt.The low temperature crack resistance of PU-EP modified asphalt is better than epoxy asphalt.The adhesion grade of PU-EP modified asphalt was considered to grade 4 after evaluation by adhesive test.If used in wet areas with more rainfall,PU-EP modified asphalt mixture of the existence of the shortcomings of the lack of adhesion,the need to add a certain amount of anti-stripping agent.Then the road performance of the asphalt mixture was verified,and the strength performance study showed that the PU-EP modified asphalt mixture had excellent strength performance.The high temperature performance of PU-EP modified asphalt mixture is slightly worse than that of epoxy asphalt.In the low temperature crack resistance,the addition of PU has a significant improvement on the low temperature toughness of epoxy asphalt concrete.In the water stability performance,through the immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test can be seen,PU-EP modified asphalt concrete has excellent water stability,its water damage performance is even better than epoxy asphalt.In the fatigue performance and oil corrosion resistance,PU-EP modified asphalt mixture fatigue performance than epoxy asphalt mixture.PU-EP modified asphalt mixture of oil corrosion resistance and epoxy asphalt mixture comparable.Finally,PU-EP modified asphalt mixture pavement construction put forward the following three requirements: pavement should be carried out in the summer paving work;PU-EP asphalt concrete in all paving work is completed,should be in the construction of PU-EP modified asphalt mixture is better than epoxy asphalt concrete,and can leave more time for the construction of the construction of the seam.The construction of PU-EP modified asphalt mixture is better than that of epoxy asphalt concrete.But in the laying of adjacent layers or on a layer,the conservation time is longer,the construction progress later than the epoxy asphalt concrete.
