The cooling system is one of the important accessory systems of passenger car engine.The traditional cooling system has many problems,such as unreasonable temperature control,loud system noise,substandard engine emission and poor service life,which makes it difficult to meet the cooling requirements of modern passenger car.Under the policy orientation of "energy conservation,environmental protection,safety and comfort"advocated by the state,technical innovation of cooling system is imminent.Based on passenger car cooling system as the research object,starting from solving the problem of the traditional cooling system,a detailed analysis of the traditional characteristics of the cooling system,combined with the domestic and foreign research present situation,the engine intelligent cooling system(Research on Automatic Temperature Control Cooling System of Bus Engine,ATS cooling system for short),to deal with cooling performance requirements of modern passenger car,achieve the goal of engine and energy saving.1.Analyzed the basic structure and working principle of ATS cooling system,and compared with the traditional cooling system,its performance indexes are better than the traditional cooling system.Aiming at domestic ATS system can't identify the environment temperature cooling system,lead to change garments according to the problem of engine water temperature swings,and particularly increase when the design environment temperature sensor,the system can automatically identify the vehicle running environment temperature,automatically select the corresponding energy saving program,so as to avoid heat dissipation is not timely,the phenomenon of engine water temperature range bigger;2.Design the ATS electric control part of the structure and module of the cooling system,electronic control module is analyzed the requirements of the attachment,and according to the ATS technology characteristics and main performance of cooling system,designs the ATS and the way of electric control system on the vehicle arrangement ATS vehicle cooling system layout,at the same time,put forward the intelligent air intake grille on car technology is applied to ATS cooling system on the concept,can reduce the engine heat engine time,further reduce fuel consumption;3.A physical and mathematical theoretical model for the heat dissipation performance of the automatic temperature-controlled cooling system was established.According to the theory of heat transfer theory,the theoretical analysis of the heat transfer process of the radiator,study the heat dissipation principle of the system,check the amount of air volume required for the same heat dissipation power,and the heat transfer amount of the radiator is within 5%,and the design is reasonable;4.The CFD simulation analysis of the cooling medium flow inside the radiator core tube and the air flow through the outer fin was completed.The CAE simulation analysis of the ATS cooling system was carried out using Fluent software to verify the rationality of the design.The simulation results show that the design is reasonable and there is a certain design margin.At the same time,the wind tunnel test side proves that the ATS cooling system has a certain margin for the matching air volume,and the simulation process is effective;5.Carried out the energy saving effect test of the traditional cooling system and ATS system to verify the energy saving effect of the traditional cooling system and ATS cooling system.By means of wind tunnel test rig,the use of design of radiator,simulate the real vehicle state,respectively,for the traditional cooling system and ATS cooling system for cooling performance test,matched ATS cooling system bus in cold weather,the efficiency of heat engine is twice that of the traditional cooling system,reduce the fuel consumption and prolong the life of the engine,energy saving rate reached 7.2%.This paper studies a new type of ATS cooling system,greatly improve the performance of the engine cooling system,with accurate temperature control,noise reduction and energy conservation and emissions reduction,high reliability,easy installation and maintenance,prolong the service life of the engine,improving the power of the engine characteristics and overcome the shortcomings and the insufficiency of traditional engine cooling system,the engine cooling demanding passenger cars or engines often use new type high temperature such as vehicle ATS cooling system can get better cooling effect.
