The emulsified asphalt mixture has the advantages of being mixable at normal temperature,easy to construct,energy saving and emission reduction,and extending the construction season.However,compared with the hot mix asphalt mixture,the adhesiveness of the emulsified asphalt mixture is relatively poor,the forming speed is slow and the strength is relatively low,which are limit the expansion of its application range.If we can develop a cold-mixed asphalt mixture with high-viscosity and fast-strength for new pavement functional layer and old road repair,it has profound significance for industry development,energy saving and environmental protection.To this end,this paper studied the road performance of cold-mixed waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt mixture for thin layer covering,through its laboratory test to study its materials composition,blending ratio design,road performance,and discussing the construction technology of it The main work and achievements of the thesis are as follows:(1)Study on the ratio of waterborne epoxy resin emulsion to curing agent and the effect of waterborne epoxy content on the properties of waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt by fluorescence microscopy,water boiling test and evaporation residue of the emulsified asphalt,the results show that when the waterborne epoxy resin emulsion: curing agent=2:1,the waterborne epoxy resin has the best distribution uniformity in the emulsified asphalt.It is recommended that the amount of waterborne epoxy resin remains in 15%~30%.(2)Investigating on the cold mixing sequence,compacting method and curing conditions of the emulsified asphalt mixture laboratory experiment,and proposing the optimization method of makeing Marshall Specimens as following: under the condition of oven curing at 60 °C for 48 hours,the first double-sided after 25 times of compaction,the second double-sided compaction was carried out after curing for 12 hours,and the mold was cured for 36 hours.(3)Three-factor and three-level blending ratio design of waterborne epoxy content,oilstone ratio and cement dosage were carried out by orthogonal test.Base on the Marshall test results,the range and variance analysis were used to obtain the optimized mixed-proportion and it had been verified.The test results show that the optimal mixture ratio is: the epoxy content is 30%,the oil-stone ratio is 5.2%,the cement dosage is 3%.(4)The coat of waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt optimal mixture ratio which was obtained by orthogonal test,and its pavement performance tests carried out by anti-sliding performance,water stability,high temperature stability and crack resistance.The test results show that the OGFC-5 grade compound has good properties.Surface anti-sliding performance and water permeability;adding 30% waterborne epoxy resin to emulsified asphalt,the road performance of the mixture is improved to different degrees,wherein the dynamic stability is increased by 3 times and the scattering loss is reduced by 36%.The splitting strength is increased by 62%,and the tensile strength of the trabecular beam at-10 °C is increased by nearly 4 times.(5)Discussing the construction process of waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt mixture for thin layer covering,summing up the construction process mainly includes: old road treatment,closed traffic,construction stakeout,adhesive layer treatment,paving construction,compaction,maintenance,quality inspection and open transportation.
