With the rapid development of social economy,highway construction in China has achieved remarkable results.In the service process of asphalt pavement,due to the influence of external environmental factors,cracks,pits and other diseases often appear.Different from hot mix asphalt,which has high energy consumption and heavy pollution in the construction process,cold mix cold paving technology is easy to construct,green and environmental protection,and has a wider range of application scenarios in pavement maintenance.Waterborne epoxy resin has good bond strength and temperature stability,but it also has some shortcomings such as high brittleness and poor ductility after curing.The purpose of this paper is to prepare a kind of modified emulsified asphalt binder with excellent properties by combining SBR latex with water-based epoxy resin,so as to promote the application of cold mix and cold paving technology in asphalt pavement maintenance.In this paper,water-based epoxy resin /SBR composite modified emulsified asphalt was prepared.Through testing the three indexes of emulsified asphalt evaporation residue,the influence of water-based epoxy resin content on the physical properties of SBR modified emulsified asphalt was studied.The improvement mechanism of aqueous epoxy resin on the microstructure of emulsified asphalt modified by SBR was characterized by fluorescence microscopy.The absorption peaks of aqueous epoxy resin /SBR composite modified emulsified asphalt were analyzed by infrared spectroscopy.On this basis,the water-based epoxy resin/SBR composite modified emulsified asphalt mixture was prepared.The influence of waterbased epoxy resin on the road performance of SBR modified emulsified asphalt mixture was studied by testing the dynamic stability,low temperature bending strain,freeze-thaw splitting strength ratio,residual Marshall stability and water seepage resistance of the mixture.The effects of water-based epoxy resin on the durability of emulsified asphalt mixture modified by SBR were evaluated by testing the interlayer bonding properties,abrasion resistance and longterm skid resistance of the aqueous epoxy resin /SBR mixture.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The test results of the physical properties and microstructure of the water-based epoxy resin /SBR composite modified emulsified asphalt showed that the addition of water-based epoxy resin improved the adhesion of asphalt and aggregate,and with the increase of its dosage,the needle insertion degree and elongation of the emulsified asphalt evaporation residue decreased,and the softening point increased.When the content of the two water-based epoxy resins is 15% and 20% respectively,a stable cross-networking structure is formed in the asphalt,and the amount of water-based epoxy resin is preliminarily determined not to exceed 25%.(2)The addition of water-based epoxy resin will introduce new functional groups and participate in chemical reactions.The chemical reaction with the curing agent will also be chemically cross-linked with the emulsified asphalt.(3)The road performance test results of water-based epoxy resin /SBR composite modified emulsified asphalt show that water-based epoxy resin can improve the road performance of SBR modified emulsified asphalt,and improve the high temperature stability,water stability and low temperature crack resistance of SBR modified emulsified asphalt.OGFC-5 water-based epoxy resin /SBR composite modified asphalt mixture has good water permeation performance.(4)The water-based epoxy resin can improve the interlayer bonding property of the SBRmodified emulsified asphalt mixture and the wear resistance of the mixture,but it has little effect on the surface structure depth and the friction coefficient of the road surface.WER/SBR composite modified emulsified asphalt mixture with OGFC-5 grading can meet the requirements of long-term skid resistance.
