City Form Evolution Research In Alxa

In recent years,Chinese city developing mode of "large scale,high speed" turned into "optimization and quality attention" in a new normal,as this result,how to implement urban space layout coordinated among political harmony,economic development,culture prosperity,ecological improvement and matching with national territory planning became a focus.Alxa is located in the most western end of Inner Mongolia in north China which has long history,particular natural environment and distinct regional culture.since Han dynasty for more than two thousand years development,it is the very typical minority settlement in desert prairie oasis which has left many heritages and environmental characteristics that performed into material or non-material.However,the popular thought of "Bringism" cause lack of regional research in space construction,views of "much for the fast" made city spaces faced challenge of unification,misconception of "Only economism" also cause resources waste and ecological environment deterioration,urban development is deep in crisis.Under the backdrop of helping urban economic structure transformation and upgrading,form the perspective of tracing the history,through the methods of literature review,comparative analysis,field survey,qualitative research combined with theoretical knowledge of city form of urbanology,this paper trying to find factors which were the results of form-change in the history of urban development,figure regional space form evolution principles,thus understand objectively of Alxa central city developing pattern,give strategies for the future space development and quality improvement.To sum up,this paper took the evolution of central city form of Alxa in each historical stage as the main object.After expounded the location,nature,economy,society and other relevant backgrounds,it sort out the developing process of city form in five stages,studied evolution characteristics and found 24 main influencing factors,then extracted 19 image of historical city features.Next it inducted the classified dynamic mechanisms which lead to the evolution of city form,analyzed the evolution process of structural elements,obtained five evolutional principles comprise with stage evolution,environment restraint,resource chase,self-organized evolution and space continuation.Meanwhile,refer to problems for now,proposed space improvement strategies by land-using,ecology,historical environment,sustainability,tourism served and historic features protection strategies of landmark standing,interface control,overlook system establishment and culture messages transmittal.
