The deepening of the integration process between Xi’an and Xianyang has made the transformation of urban development model put forward higher requirements for the optimization of transportation system structure.The study of the internal mechanism and demand characteristics of the passenger selection of public transportation mode of Xi’anXianyang intercity travel will help to understand the demand of the Xi’an-Xianyang intercity travel mainly based on public transportation,and provide a reliable basis to the development and structural adjustment of intercity transportation system.At the same time,the existing travel behavior analysis models mostly consider the social and economic attributes of passengers,the purpose of travel,the time of travel,the distance of travel and other factors,but ignore some intrinsic factors that are not easy to observe,which have an important influence on passengers’ choice behavior,therefore they can not explain the passenger’s travel choice behavior very well.Firstly,based on the in-depth analysis of the intercity traffic model and considering the potential factors affecting the selection of passenger traffic modes,this paper proposes the SEM-Logit model for intercity passenger travel selection of public transportation mode who integrate the structural equation model and the disaggregate model based on the utility maximization theory and the planned behavior theory.Secondly,through the design of the survey method that incorporates the latent variables of public transportation mode service characteristics,the combination of RP and SP is used to effectively obtain the sample data of various travel characteristics of passengers in Xi’an-Xianyang intercity travel,and a preliminary analysis of the characteristics of the public transport mode selection behavior was carried out based on the difference of single trips.Finally,based on the actual survey data of Xi’anXianyang intercity travel,according to the structural form of the constructed SEM-Logit integration model,the mechanism of public transportation mode selection of passengers in Xi’an-Xianyang intercity travel is deeply studied,and the influencing factors of passengers’ intention of selection are analyzed,and the results of the selection after the optimization of the traffic system structure are predicted.Meanwhile,the paper proposes a series of strategies to promote the passengers’ selection of the Xi’an-Xianyang intercity travel.Through the research in this paper,the SEM-Logit model considering the influence of potential factors has a more accurate interpretation ability than the traditional Logit model,and it has a higher hit rate in the prediction of selection of passengers in intercity travel.It provides a new analysis model for intercity travel,and finally obtains the passenger flow sharing rate of various intercity travel public transportation modes after urban rail transit construction in the future.At the same time,it proves that the potential variables such as traffic modes service characteristics have a non-negligible influence on passengers’ traffic mode selection behavior,and the specific differences in the influence of service characteristics of different traffic modes on passengers’ choice intention are obtained.In summary,the research in this paper can help relevant departments understand the demand situation of Xi’an-Xianyang intercity travel mainly based on public transportation,and help improve the utilization efficiency of various public transportation modes and promote the improvement of Xi’an-Xianyang traffic integration.
