With the rapid development of social economy, the process of urbanization in China has been accelerating, and a development pattern with urban agglomerations as the economic support has been formed. The Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration is the fourth economic growth pole in my country, and its economic and transportation development has an important influence on the provinces and cities in western my country. This paper studies the inter-city travel between Chongqing and Chengdu, and takes five travel modes: ordinary-speed railway,high-speed railway,long-distance passenger shuttle bus, private car and online car-hailing as the research object,Study the impact of urban agglomeration development and changes on residents’ travel mode choice behavior.First,it discusses the travel process and characteristics of urban agglomerations.Based on the theory of planned behavior,it introduces two extended latent variables,"behavioral habits" and "epidemic prevention requirements",and proposes a theoretical framework for the choice of urban agglomerations.Secondly, the RP&SP survey questionnaire was designed, and the reliability and validity analysis and descriptive statistical analysis of the survey results were carried out. Then, five multi-index and multi-causal models with different modes of travel were constructed, which systematically analyzed the internal connections between individual travelers and family social attributes and various psychological latent variables, the interrelationships between the various latent variables, and the various latent variables. And the correlation between the corresponding measurement variables. Finally, the load coefficients of the measured variables and latent variables are used as weights to calculate the fitted values of the latent variables, and the MNL model is introduced to construct the ICLV model of the two types of travelers to explore the influence of the explicit variables and the latent variables on the selection behavior of intercity travel modes in urban agglomerations.collective effect. Finally,by comparing the iclv model and MNL model of class a travelers,it is found that the superiority ratio coefficient and model hit rate of iclv model with travelers’ psychological latent variables are 0.776 and 93.28%,which are higher than those of MNL model without travelers’ psychological latent variables, which are 0.753 and 91.79%.The results show that: the epidemic prevention and control stage has a significant impact on the choice of private car travel and high-speed railway travel,In the strict prevention and control stage, the probability of class a travelers choosing high-speed rail is 25.93%,and the probability of choosing private car is 74.07%.In this stage, class B travelers mainly rely on private car;In the stage of complete recovery, the proportion of class a travelers choosing high-speed railway has recovered to 43.78%,the proportion of private car trips has decreased to 19.90%,the proportion of ordinary speed railway trips and long-distance bus trips are 18.91% and 17.41% respectively, the proportion of class B travelers choosing private car trips has decreased to 30.30%,the proportion of long-distance bus trips and intercity bus trips are 42.42% and 27.28%respectively;The variable of "epidemic prevention requirements" has a significant negative impact on the choice of private car and inter city car Hailing mode; The "behavioral inertia" variable shows that the choice of private car travel mode has strong behavioral inertia, while the choice of intercity car Hailing mode has weak behavioral inertia;Among the class a travelers, the "behavior attitude" has a significant negative correlation with the long-distance bus travel mode, which indicates that the mode is not preferred and the behavior intention is low, while among the class B travelers, the travel intention of choosing this mode is acceptable.
