Since the road traffic development strategy of “public transport priority” was implemented in China,great progress has been made in the construction of public transport infrastructure.However,the proportion of public transport in urban residents' daily travel has not shown a significant improvement.Obviously,it has quite limited effect on enhancing attractiveness of public transport by taking improvement measures such as extending the quantity of bus lines and stations as well as reducing the departure interval of public transport vehicles.In the new stage of development,the organization and management of public transport are developing in a more refined and intelligent direction,especially for the parking organization and management of public transport vehicles,which is of great significance for improving the efficiency of the public transport system.Firstly,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the stopping behavior of the bus in the station,and then summarizes several micro-behaviors that cause the loss of the capacity of the bus stop,including the randomness of the first bus dwelling position.On the basis of collecting and verifying the arrival and stopping time distribution law of buses on the spot,this paper establishes a traffic capacity calculation model of bus stations which conforms to the actual operation condition of public transport.After solving and analyzing the traffic capacity calculation model by using MATLAB software,this paper uses Anylogic software to simulate the bus station operations when the first bus dwells arbitrarily in order to verify the validity of the model.In addition,a bus stop guidance system is proposed in order to have further improvement on the bus stop capacity,which can lead the incoming bus into an appointed berth directed by the dwell position.Finally,the traffic capacity of the bus stop under the control of the proposed system is simulated by Anylogic software.The results show that the proposed bus stop location guidance system can greatly improve the traffic capacity of the bus stop.
