Bus priority has become an inevitable choice for city sustainable development,and the node as bus operation—bus stop,widely distributed throughout the city,is infrastructure for buses to provide service and meet traveling。Accurate analysis of bus stop capacity,is important to design and manage bus stops reasonably.Firstly,this paper analyses the stop process of a bus from the perspective of space and time,and gives definition of bus stop capacity,later makes a detailed analysis of how these eight factors affect bus stop capacity such as the bus,bus stops,passengers,traffic disturbance around bus stop,the form of traffic organization,time,bus stop location and weather。Because of so many factors,and these factors are interrelated,this paper investigates the buses arriving distribution,characteristics of acceleration time and deceleration time and dwell time distribution,we find that buses arriving to the bus stop are in accord with Poisson distribution and buses dwell time is in accord with Erlang distribution,so the bus stop and the arriving buses constitute "a single-queue and multi-channel services for M/Ek/N system"。Then arriving bus flow is divided into three types,and the paper puts forward the arriving bus flow is nestification of bus flow pulling in directly and queuing bus flow,thus establishes linear bus stop capacity model and harbor-shaped bus stop capacity model.combining the basic definition of bus stop capacity and queuing theory。Finally,it makes a linear bus stop——Big Goose Pagoda bus stop and a harbor-shaped bus stop——Ya Mei Building bus stop for example,and compares instance model results with American bus stop capacity model results and it shows that the model is accurate。Because the two bus stops congest seriously,it gives some suggestions to improve the bus stop capacity from increasing effective berth and reducing bus staying time。...
