With the development of the global economy,scientific technology and variable requirement of the marketing,it becomes fiercer on the competition for both of the domestic and international modern manufacturing enterprise.Now the enterprise not only cares about the technology improvement,but also the reduction on labor cost and improvements on the KPIs such as total efficiency of the production.Time quota evaluation has been widely applied to enterprise management such as production line balancing improvement,project advanced quotation,production process improvement,etc.But how to fast confirm time quota in a reliable condition and apply to production line balancing is still a problem to solve.The production mode of sunroof is be attributed to assembly line batch manufacturing and its process is diversity and complex.It has important research meanings on making standards process time quota based on industrial engineering principle and methods.It’s necessary to evaluate sunroof assembly line balancing with time quota.Based on Modular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standards(MODAPTS)and line balance theory,this paper detailed discussed sunroof classification and manufacturing process and generated the concept of MODAPTS standards motion time.With the analysis on actual TLTS sunroof assembly process,it generated Station Analysis MODAPTS.This paper summarized and concluded MODAPTS standards motion time database and Station Analysis MODAPTS database based on sunroof assembly process,with which combined with learning curve analysis and manmachine-method analysis,it analyzed and studied the balance issues on the TLTS sunroof assembly line and gave the action plans on optimizing and improving.
