Metal hoses used as a connection in pressure systems and piping systems are used in a wide range of applications.Metal bellows is an important component of metal hoses.At present,there are few researches on the flow resistance of metal bellows,which cannot meet the needs of industrial research and production.In this paper,the factors affecting the flow resistance characteristics of metal bellows are studied by simulation and experimental methods.Because there are many factors affecting the flow resistance performance of metal bellows,this paper selects and analyzes the four factors of hose diameter,hose bending type,working medium type and working temperature.In the simulation calculation,the software ProE is used to establish the 3D model of the metal bellows.The software ICEM is used to mesh the model.The software FLUENT is used for numerical calculation.Thereby obtaining the flow resistance performance parameters of the metal bellows.In order to verify the reliability of the simulation results,a test bench for testing the flow resistance of metal bellows was built in this paper.Different bending types,flow rates,working fluid types and working fluid temperatures were used for metal hoses of different pipe sizes.Experiments were carried out to obtain the flow-pressure drop characteristic curve of the metal bellows under different conditions.The simulation calculation and experimental analysis show that the temperature has little effect on the flow resistance performance of the metal bellows under the condition that the working fluid is water,;the larger the pipe diameter,the larger the comprehensive drag coefficient and the comprehensive frictional resistance coefficient,the smaller the comprehensive roughness;within a certain pipe diameter range,The flow resistance performance parameter of U-shaped metal bellows is larger than that of S-type metal bellows.When the diameter exceeds the pipe diameter range,the two sizes are opposite.The viscosity and density in the working fluid are the key factors affecting the flow resistance performance.The higher the viscosity,the smaller the density.The flow resistance performance parameter is larger.According to the analysis results of flow resistance performance factors of metal bellows,the software of flow resistance performance parameter analysis of metal hose based on VS software is developed to meet the automatic calculation and analysis function of flow resistance performance parameters of metal bellows under different conditions,and realize the combination of different bending types.The metal bellows flow resistance performance parameters are subjected to complex engineering calculations.
