Route Network Efficiency Analysis And Community Structure Research

The route network is the cornerstone of the development of airlines.It determines the range of products that airlines can provide.Through the route network,effective links are established among the fleets,air services,ground services and other resources to jointly serve the operations of the airline.The structural characteristics of the route network determine the efficiency of the route network and determine the competitiveness of the airline in the air transport market.Therefore,it has a great reference value for the planning of the airline route network and the development of the airline to explore the efficiency of the route network based on the structure and study the structural characteristics of the airline route network.This paper is based on China's airline route network,with the domestic route network of China Eastern Airlines Group Co.,Ltd.as the research object.Firstly,from the perspective of complex networks,the index including the degree and degree distribution,clustering coefficient and average path length of the domestic route network of China Eastern Airlines are analyzed.It is concluded that the route network has the dual characteristics of small world and no scale.We use network efficiency theory to study the route network efficiency with different factors and a method for identifying key nodes is proposed to assess the overall efficiency of the route network and the efficiency of each community.Based on these factors,the community structure of the route network is divided.Then we analyze the structural characteristics,spatial distribution characteristics,key nodes and key communities of the route network from the perspective of the unweighted network and the weighted network.Based on the above analysis,it can provide some advice for the planning and optimization of the airline route network and improve the efficiency.
