The trend of China's construction industry is transforming from "large-scale newly construction" to "the coexistence of newly construction and maintenance",and then will come the stage of “renovation,maintenance and reinforcement of old buildings”.The first stage of building renovation,maintenance and reinforcement is the safety identification of existing building structures.The market of the safety identification of existing building structures in China has presented the growth trend.There exists several disadvantages in the safety identification of existing building structures in China,such as heavy workload and low efficiency in manual data processing,low level of informatization and implicit result of detection and identification.The Building Information Modeling(BIM)technology contains the advantages,such as three-dimensional visualization and information integration,etc.Combination of the BIM technology with the safety identification of existing building structures will remedy the shortcomings in identification process effectively.This research will take “the application of BIM technology in the safety identification of existing building structures” as research goal,and the main research contents include:Firstly,this research analyzes the situation of the safety identification of existing building structures and research of BIM technology,proposes the idea of combining BIM technology with existing building structure safety appraisal,then further explains the research contents,research methods and technical routes;Secondly,by discussing BIM technology platform,this research analyzes the principle and method of BIM secondary development based on Revit software,and describes construction of Revit secondary development environment,basic development process and realization of various basic functions thoroughly.On this basis,by the analysis on the demand of functional modules of structural safety identification,this research identifies the idea of developing the building structure safety identification based on BIM,and applies Revit secondary development technology and C# programming language to finish the function modules of the safety identification of existing building structures based on Revit Software platform;This research applies the function module of the safety identification of existing building structures based on BIM technology to specific building structural safety identification projects,and proves the effectiveness of its feasibility and effectiveness of its application in practical projects.The function module of the safety identification of existing building structures developed by this research includes the functions including the external data input model,discrimination of concrete strength,automatic rating of component units or subcells,rating on the identification units,engineering application shows that it covers the characteristics including strong fault tolerance,high analysis efficiency and intuitive results display.The result of research comprises the functions of comparably strong practical value and promotional value.Meanwhile,this research verifies the feasibility of combining BIM technology with existing building structures analysis,detection and identification,accumulates experience for application of BIM technology in building renovation,maintenance and reinforcement,and is of certain reference value for the development of BIM technology in the field of engineering structures.
