| In the 21 st century,with the expansion of the higher education scale in China,the number of institutions of higher learning is increasing.The campus of Shenyang Agricultural University,which was built in the Early Period of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China,has been built newly and expanded in recent years.The old and new campus have the same cultural context.In addition to renewal and exchange,there are also some problems and contradictions in the process of integration.This paper takes the campus space of Shenyang Agricultural University as the research object,introduces the theory of space syntax,combines literature collation,survey statistics and Depthmap X-0.5 software subjectively and objectively to analyze the characteristics of the historical evolution stage of campus space at the macro level,and from the macro level of campus,optimizes the campus space according to the existing problems in the use of campus space at the micro level.It provides scientific reference for the future development and campus space optimization.The research process and main conclusions are as follows:Firstly,at the macro level,(1)it is concluded that the school has gone through three stages since its establishment: massive development period(1950s-1960s),single axis development period(1970s-1990s)andcross axis development period(2000s-2010s).At present,Shenyang Agricultural University is in the third stage: the development of cross axis.(2)Longitudinal comparative analysis shows that the global integration degree(Rn)of campus space has gradually decreased,the local integration degree(R3)has gradually increased,the global depth value(MD)has gradually increased,and the campus space has gradually become discrete.Horizontal comparative analysis shows that the maximum value of campus integration(1.904)is lower than the reasonable reference value(2.088),the global depth value(7.023)is higher than the reasonable reference value(5.260),and the campus space level is deep.(3)Deep analysis of the campus space structure shows that the core of the campus space moves eastward and has the trend of northward development.In a word,the spatial characteristics of Shenyang Agricultural University campus at macro level are: deep spatial level;the formation of primary and secondary multi-core space;and the eastward movement of core and the northward trend of campus development.Secondly,at the micro level,(4)Four-quadrant coordinate system is established for road spatial integration and road usage frequency parameters.It is concluded that Shennong Road(1.538,0.346),Kewei Road(1.564,0.280)and Master Street(1.657,0.533)in the third quadrant have high usage frequency but low accessibility.(5)The most frequently used outdoor activities space on campus were sports ground(53.27%)and Kewei Park(36.45%).The unsatisfactory reasons of campus outdoor activity space were excessive traversing(41.12%).(6)According to the VGA comparative analysis of campus space before and after expansion,the campus space presents the oblique flow line from the new campus to the old campus,and Kewei Park is an important hub in the campus pedestrian transportation system.To sum up,the road of high frequency and low accessibility in local campus space makes the whole campus space deeper.The change of the direction of the flow of people before and after the expansion of VGA simulation is the reason for the excessive traversing of the campus activity space.Finally,according to the analysis results,some suggestions for improvement are put forward as follows: Put Shennong Road in the campus space;Improve the openness of Kewei Garden green space;Open up the inclined pedestrian convenience from the new campus to the old campus.According to the suggestions,the following conclusions can be drawn after optimization of campus space simulation:(1)The global integration degree(Rn)is 1.904 before optimization and 2.321 after optimization.(2)Global Depth Value(MD)was 7.121 before optimization,6.388 after optimization,(3)Global Integration(Rn)was correlated with Connection Value(CN)and the linear regression equation was Y=5.00894X-2.66111,R2=0.279478 after optimization.Comprehensibility(R2)was 0.199 before optimization and 0.279 after optimization,and the correlation increased from low to general.The overall accessibility of campus space has been improved,and the deeper level of campus space has been solved.It not only reasonably predicts the future planning trend of multi-core and northward development of the campus,but also achieves the goal of optimizing the current campus space. |
