The world economy is still in the development stage of recovery,especially in manufacturing industry.Although affected by the world's weak economic environment,China still maintains a sustained growth momentum.However with the change of international economic structure,world shipping system is also constantly changing.As the hub of logistics flow,fund flow and information flow,how to identify the driving force for sustainable development of port in the complex environment is the key for the current development of the port.So measuring the capacity for sustainable development of the port will be of great importance.Based on a large amount of research for development of port,In this paper,on the basis of a large number of research for port development,found the limitations of research.With the scientific ideas and systems theory,started to research the factors that affect the sustainable development port,finally forming the quantitative index system for sustainable development of port.Use the cluster analysis and principal component analysis for 13 ports within the Yangtze River Delta port group(Shanghai Port,Ningbo-Zhoushan Port,Jiaxing port,Wenzhou Port,Taizhou Port,Lianyungang Port,Nanjing Port,Nantong Port,Suzhou Port,Jiangyin Port,Zhenjiang Port,Yangzhou Port and Taizhou port).The research has shown Port-related conclusions and countermeasure on sustainable development and suggestions for the future research.
