Research On The Competitiveness Of Yingkou Port Among Bohai Sea Port Cluster

As the most economical preferred transport chain of the Northeast Economic Zone in Import and Export, Yingkou Port was established as the harbor of Shenyang Economic Zone "6+1" pattern, its land transport costs are relatively low compared to the neighboring ports. For these reasons, Yingkou Port has a very important position.With The formulation of the plan to reinvigorate northeast, the construction of the" Five Points One Line "in the coastal economic belt and the implementation of the development strategy of the Shenyang Economic Zone, Yingkou Port must be adapted to the current situation and develop rapidly. With the development of the world economy and the acceleration of the process of global economic integration, international exchanges are increasing, the competition between the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea ports is more intense. At present, if Yingkou Port wants to survive and develop, it must occupy a seat among Bohai Sea ports to shorten the gap with Qingdao, Tianjin Port, then gradually catch up and exceed Dalian Port, at the same time keep a distance with Yantai Port, Rizhao Port, we can see that, the research of the competiveness of Yingkou Port in the Bohai Sea ports is of great significance.Starting from the port competitiveness theory, this article expounded the content of port competition and characteristics, the evaluation methods of port competitiveness, it also analised the distribution pattern of the major ports in the Bohai Rim region, as well as the competitive pressures that Yingkou Port faced, and then established a port competition force evaluation index system. Based on the evaluation system, the competitiveness of Yingkou Port in the Bohai Sea port was evaluated and analysed, the Yingkou Port’s level of competitiveness as well as the strengths and weaknesses were clarified, and several suggestions for the problems of Yingkou Port were proposed at last.This study has certain reference value for Yingkou port development practice. It is conducive to the good and fast development of Yingkou port, conducive to deal with competition and cooperation in the development of good port; conducive to promoting the economic development of Yingkou region.
