Research On The Ecological Design Trend Of RCR Architectural Creation

RCR Architects,consisting of Rafael Aranda,Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilata,have been worked in their hometown.The purpose of these attempts is to create an ecological space that can talk to the environment and express their respect for the local culture.The close cooperation of RCR from beginning to end allowed them to achieve compelling achievements in the architecture.The RCR won the 2017 Pritzker Architecture Prize in March 2017.This is the first time that the Pritzker Architecture Prize has been awarded to three people,and it is also an affirmation of their cooperation.It is precisely because of their ability to create ecological building spaces that combine local spirit and international character that they have a long-term impact on the architecture.This thesis will start from the perspective of ecological design trend,and analyzes the design concept and design style of RCR from three aspects: ecological regionalism,ecological humanism and ecological balance.First of all,from the perspective of ecological regionalism,the natural characteristics and school characteristics of Olot and their influence on the design style of RCR are described.The basic unit is the design method that they like to use.The repetition and change of the basic unit are analyzed from the selection of the unit,the combination of the horizontal direction and the superposition of the vertical direction.Meanwhile,according to the application of abstract landscape elements in the building,the translation of native natural factors and the display of recycled material units,the ecological regional design trends of RCR architectural design are explained in detail.Secondly,from the perspective of ecological humanism,the humanistic design concept of three-in-one is expounded in three parts: the influence of regional culture,the improvement of emotional value and the change of aesthetic consciousness.In particular,the award-winning experience of their studio’s initial competition and the different experiences of traveling to Japan have greatly changed their perceptions and attitudes towards space.And the design of peopleoriented is reflected in the visual experience of the first perspective of the buildings,the creation of indoor poetic atmosphere and the alleviation of urban traffic.The ecological human nature design trend of RCR architectural design is explained in detail from three aspects: the locality of architectural form,the artistic nature of landscape construction and the intentionality of symbolic language.Finally,from the perspective of ecological balance,the balance of RCR under natural guidance is illustrated by three parts: between land and matter,between life and work,and between landscape and site.In particular,their philosophical thinking about things has improved their overall cognitive level.And in the introduction of low-tech and independent optical resources design expression to reflect their international balance of building.Finally,from the "gap" balance of new and old buildings,the "interspersed" balance of virtual and real space and the balance of dynamic and static attributes,the ecological balance design trend of RCR architectural design is explained in detail.
