The Research On The Pedigree Of Vernacular Architecture In Dongzhi County

From the perspective of previous studies on Anhui's vernacular architecture,most scholars focus on the Huizhou area,while the research on the vernacular architecture in the southwest of Anhui is neglected.In addition,the research on the vernacular architecture in Huizhou mainly focuses on a single settlement and a certain built heritage.This approach is to separate the built heritage from the local context of the whole region,which obviously leads to the limitation of research scope and research vision.vernacular architecture is closely related to the natural geography,human history,social economy and the flow of craftsmanship in the whole region.Therefore,it is extremely important to clarify the formation process of local vernacular architecture while studying the built heritage."Genealogy" is exactly such a locating and classifying method that traces the source and flow,and is used to divide the local geotechnical building flora and construct the local geotechnical building characteristic map.This paper is mainly composed of three parts.The first part narrates the theoretical basis of architectural genealogy and the existing methods of architectural floristic classification,aiming to find the floristic classification method suitable for Dongzhi county.Through the collection and arrangement of the literature,this paper puts forward the hypothesis of dividing the local buildings in Dongzhi county by using dialect zoning as reference.The second part verifies the hypothesis that the dialect area is the local architecture of Dongzhi county.By comparing the environment of settlement formation,the plane shape and wooden frame features of vernacular architecture in different dialect areas of Dongzhi county,it is found that dialect area can be well applied to the division of vernacular architecture in Dongzhi county,and the characteristics of vernacular architecture in each area are summarized.In the third part,by combing the influences of natural conditions,population changes and social and economic development on the flora,and combining the features of plane shape and wooden frame,the author made a comprehensive judgment on the flora of Dongzhi county's vernacular architecture,and drew the characteristic map of vernacular architecture.The research content of this paper not only provides fresh samples for the study ofthe vernacular architecture in the southwest area of Anhui province,but also raises the social attention to the vernacular architecture in Dongzhi county.At the same time,it provides theoretical reference and inspiration for the future restoration and protection of the south-western Anhui style architecture and the regional architectural design of Dongzhi county.
