In the era of knowledge economy,cultivating creative industries has become an important strategy for urban development.The creative industry has a clustering feature in geospatial distribution.Its economic and social characteristics are characterized by the networked development trend of “local space” to “flow space”,which is of great significance for improving the innovation ability of enterprises and building creative cities.As an important heavy industrial city in China,Wuhan City is facing outstanding problems such as urban industrial upgrading and urban land space optimization.Driven by the overall goal of building a “national central city”,cultivating creative industries and building a world-class “design capital” has become an important strategy for Wuhan's industrial transformation and upgrading.Based on this background,this paper studies the space and network performance of Wuhan creative industry,in order to provide a scientific basis for the spatial layout planning of Wuhan creative industry,and provide effective countermeasures for improving the innovation level of Wuhan creative industry.This paper takes Wuhan Urban Development Zone as the research scope,breaks through the limitations of traditional industrial parks,and studies the scale of specific individual enterprises.Taking the "engineering design industry" as an example,the research focuses on the spatial pattern of creative industries,industrial location influencing factors,industrial network structure,and industrial network performance evaluation.First,the problem is clearly studied,and then theoretical summarization and literature review are carried out from two aspects: creative industry space and creative industry network.Then,based on the engineering design industry,the spatial analysis method in ArcGIS is used to explore the spatial pattern of the creative industry and the decisive factors affecting its location choice.Furthermore,starting from the creative industry network,the network analysis tool Gephi 0.9.2 and ArcGIS tools are used to explore the spatial distribution characteristics of the industrial network structure,and the SPSS correlation analysis is used to evaluate the industrial network performance.Finally,combined with the previous analysis,the paper proposes the strategy of optimizing the spatial layout of Wuhan creative industry and strengthening the connection of industrial networks.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: Firstly,the spatial pattern of Wuhan creative industry based on engineering design industry presents “plaque-like” agglomeration characteristics,three spatial distribution patterns of surface,line and point,and vertical development trend of the Yangtze River.Second,the main factors affecting the spatial distribution of creative industries are “hardware elements”(including urban internal traffic,public transportation)and “software environment”(including universities and research institutions,cultural facilities,etc.).These location factors have a high degree of coupling with the location behavior of the main nodes in the creative industry network.The third is the Wuhan creative industry network based on the engineering design industry,which presents the characteristics of low density,open and small world.From the perspective of spatial distribution,from “local space” to “flow space”,the differences between different spatial levels and different dimensions are significant.Industrial networks Chinese enterprises,institutions and research institutes are at the core.Moreover,the industrial network has the characteristics of subdivision and clustering.Fourth,based on the performance evaluation of Wuhan creative industry network based on engineering design industry,the economic performance has a positive effect on the network and corporate economic performance established between creative enterprises.In terms of innovation performance,the relationship between creative enterprises and various network entities is significantly related to the creative ability of enterprises.Moreover,the effects of different spatial scales on the innovation performance of enterprises are different.The spatial scale of network linkages that are too large or too small will restrict the improvement of innovation performance of enterprises to a certain extent.Fifth,for the optimization of Wuhan's creative industry spatial pattern and network,it is necessary to pay attention to the construction of “hardware elements” and “software environment”;strengthen the connection strength of different spatial levels with “technical proximity”,and build “two districts and multiple films” to guide industry subdivisions.Agglomeration;"innovative talents" drive enterprise innovation,and "alliance platform" to promote enterprise linkage.
