With the rapid development of the national economy,China's power system is also in a period of rapid development.The grid structure and stability characteristics of power grids in some regions are becoming more and more complex.The China Southern Power Grid is particularly typical,Including 18 AC and DC West-East transmission lines with the largest transmission electric power scale 475 MW.The development of calculation technology has made simulation calculations an important means of analyzing the safety,stability and operational characteristics of large power systems.The existing BPA model based on electromechanical transient simulation software is difficult to reflect the electromagnetic transient correlation characteristics of the system,and it is impossible to accurately simulate the expected faults and scenarios.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out model construction and debugging research in the electromagnetic transient simulation software PSCAD based on the BPA model of the south power grid west power east transmission main grid,so as to better study the dynamic characteristics and stability conditions of the southern power grid and improve the safety of the power grid.stability.This paper first introduces the model and parameter settings of the main components of PSCAD and compares it with the related models in BPA to verify the feasibility of BPA and PSCAD model conversion.The PSCAD basic component library lacks various types of excitation regulation systems,prime movers,governors,and PSS models used in the Southern Power Grid equivalent system and cannot be replaced with existing models.Based on various controller transfer functions,combined with the characteristics of the electromagnetic transient simulation platform,the corresponding excitation regulation system,PSS,prime mover and its speed control system are built in PSCAD,which is packaged into a library file that can be directly called.The test system tests its dynamic performance indicators and verifies its steady state and dynamic performance through the New England 39-node system example.The simulation results show that the developed custom model can accurately simulate the characteristics of the corresponding control system and can be applied to electromagnetic transient simulation of large-scale power systems.To improve the simulation modeling efficiency and reduce the debugging time for the Southern China Power Grid's 2016 summer operation mode equivalent system,the whole network is partitioned,and each partition is modeled and debugged,and then the partitions are merged.Unified operation and debugging of the entire network.Taking partial partitioning as an example,the steady-state tidal current and transient characteristics of PSCAD model and BPA model are compared and analyzed in detail.The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the modeling method and the accuracy of the established model.
