Crack is one of the main diseases on Asphalt Pavement.Pavement cracks will reduce the smoothness of pavement and affect the comfort of driving.If the crack could not be repaired in time,it will lead to potholes,subsidences and other diseases.Road maintenance personnel use hot-melt asphalt,emulsified asphalt,sealant,grouting fluid and other repair materials to repair the cracks.However,problems such as weak bonding property,poor permeability and insufficient durability are still existed which result in limited effect on repair consequently.Aiming at the existing problems of asphalt pavement crack repair materials,based on the excellent performance of epoxy resin curing system,the powder curing agent PCA is obtained by packaging technology in this paper.Then it is distributed uniformly in epoxy resin base to the preparation of a new material called epoxy resin/powder curing agent crack repair material(EPCRM).When using EPCRM,water is applied as initiator to release curing agent and react with epoxy resin to form slurry.slurry viscosity and curing material's tensile bond strength,tensile strength,elongation are selected out as evaluation indexes,By adopting orthogonal test method,the optimum material ratio and application technology of EPCRM are elected as follows.The proportion of E-51 is 22.5%,epoxy resin A is 22.5%,toughener is 40%,diluent is 15%,the dosage of PCA accounts for is 20% of the total resin dosage;the water consumption is 30% of the total mass of resin and PCA,water temperature is 60?,stirring time is 5 minutes,stirring speed is 600r/min.Then this paper carries out the research on viscosity of EPCRM slurry,as well as the mechanical properties and stability of the cured materials.Four representative crack repair materials are selected to compare their technical properties with EPCRM,and evaluate the properties of EPCRM and its cured material.The results show that the initial viscosity of EPCRM slurry is 1354 mPa·s and its operable time is 20 minutes;tensile strength of EPCRM at-10 ? is lower than that of asphaltene repair materials,and the toughness is slightly insufficient;as the temperature rises to 15?,the tensile strength of EPCRM is higher than other crack repair materials,meanwhile the elongation at break is 80.3% which shows good strength and toughness;the compressive strength of EPCRM at 50? is much higher than that of other repair materials,and the mass loss rate of the cured material at 100? is only 1.57% which shows excellent thermal stability.;Storage temperature has a significant effect on the storage stability of EPCRM which should be stored at low temperature as far as possible.Referring to the test methods of asphalt mixture,the pavement performances of EPCRM such as permeability,bonding performance,low temperature anti-cracking performance,water stability and anti-aging performance are tested and analyzed combined with the actual situation of repair materials in pavement cracks.The results show that EPCRM has the same penetration depth as emulsified asphalt with excellent permeability;the tensile bond strength of EPCRM at-10? is slightly lower than that of asphaltene repair materials,when temperature rises,the tensile bond strength at 15? is higher than other repair materials which shows good tensile bonding performance;shear performance is excellent because the interfacial shear strength of EPCRM shows a high level in the whole temperature range;the low temperature anti-cracking performance of EPCRM is superior,which is only inferior to sealant;the water stability is lower than that of hot melt repair materials,but higher than normal temperature repair materials;after the thermal aging,the loss rate of mechanical performance of EPCRM is low while the loss rate of toughness is slightly large.
