The metal processing and forming of plate is an important segment in shipbuilding,automobile and aerospace industry.With the presentation of "Wisdom in China",shipbuilding industry also need to keep pace with the times and improve current manufacturing process.At present,the major metal forming method is line heating in shipbuilding industry.The majority of the studies on line heating considered moderate thick plate,whereas few studies paid attention to heavy plate.Thus,this article considered processing heavy plate by spiral heating and studied the processing parameters of spiral heating.To study the processing parameters of spiral heating,this article employed the numerical simulation software ANSYS to establish a numerical model of spiral heating,and analyzed the main spiral heating parameters' effects on temperature field and deformed field.This article also designed orthogonal experiment to verify the significance level of all processing parameters.Based on the research results of spiral heating and the simulation cases of ANSYS,this article verified the relationship between heating longitudinal velocity,spiral radius,thickness and shrinkage,and therefore established the relational model of spiral heating by multiple regression and neural network algorithm.The relational model could be used to forecast forming results.
