Air compressor is a tool to provide power source for pneumatic products,which greatly improves the labor efficiency in industrial production and daily life,and it is more and more widely used in many fields.Low failure rate and high reliability of air compressor can improve customer experience,customer loyalty and also product competitiveness.The traditional methods for compressor performance and reliability tests were mainly tested by manual,with deficiencies such as low accuracy test data,low efficiency,incomplete data records,and difficult for failure analysis etc.it is not conductive to new products development and quality improvement.In order to win the market,an automatic test and failure analysis system with accuracy test data,consistent test condition,complete data records,low cost,high reliability and easy for operating was needed to be developed.This paper is for an automatic compressor test system development based on NI LabVIEW2013,Compact Field hardware,sensors and so on.This system is to achieve real-time detection for circuit current/ air flow/ air pressure of tank/ temperature of part surface,and also using DataSocket technology to achieve "remote control" function.At last,a failure mode analysis system was designed based on compressor history data and failure tree analysis technology,it will be the guideline of root cause analysis for samples failure,and it will be helpful for speeding up products development and also quality improvement schedule.In the end,this paper developed a LabVIEW-based automatic measurement and control system for compressor test,this system has functions such as real-time monitor& control,remote control and failure analysis for multi test stations.And taking 6406 compressor as an example debugged the reliability test& failure analysis system and verified its feasibility.
