As the development of automotive industry,traditional fuel vehicle is restricted by those problems of energy and environmental protection.But the Hybrid Electric Vehicle(HEV)not only possesses the power performance of the traditional automobile,but also has the characteristics of energy saving and environmental protection.So the HEVs are getting more and more focus from all over the world.Compared with other types of motor,The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM)has some obvious advantages,such as higher efficiency,higher Power density and better adjustable speed performance and so on.Therefore,PMSM has been used on a large scale in HEV,and it is very important to study the PMSM control strategy and its engineering application.The research of this paper is based on a department-owned development project from the the author working company.And as the research findings,the electric drive system will be equipped in a kind Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicl(PHEV)which is a plan to mass-prodution by the end of 2017.In order to study the Field-Oriented Control(FOC)for PMSM,it is important to establish the basis of theory analysis and engineering application.In the beginning of this paper,the author studies how to realize the motor coordinate transformation and how to establish mathematical model for PMSM.And then,some classical current control strategies of PMSM are discussed and analyzed.Based on theoretical analysis,the optimal control strategy is founded for the PMSM working conditions.In the next step,the author studies how to implement SVPWM in DSP.And then in order to get the visual analysis,the relevant parameters of the PMSM are analyzed by using the software Maxwell2 D.In this paper,the control methods of PMSM are analyzed in detail including motor stalling,base speed area and high speed field-weakening area.A feasible solution to the engineering application of the control method is put forward in the end of the paper.It is worth mentioning that,the research in the paper draws extensively on theoretical derivation,Maxwell2 D simulation,Matlab/Simulink,and motor rig test bench.So the analysis and discussion for the PMSM control strategies are rich and detail in this paper.
