Ultrasonic motors(USMs)have been developed as a new concept of motors since the 1980's.Compared with the traditional electromagnetic motors,USMs have the advantages of high torque at low speed,no gear reducer,fast response,self-locking and high resolution of displacement.USMs have been applied in the aerospace,robot and miniature machinery and other high-tech areas.Driving an ultrasonic motor requires a dedicated and matched drive,which affects the motor's performance,including electrical and mechanical parameters on the motor and its drive.With the development of ultrasonic motor technology,the research on the test system of ultrasonic motor system has been paid more and more attention.The mastery of the important parameters of ultrasonic motor can check whether the motor meets the relevant technical regulations or seek ways and methods to improve the design process.An automatic testing system used for the mechanical and electrical performances test of traveling wave rotary ultrasonic motor was presented.The system is composed of a lower computer and a higher computer.In this lower computer,MCU STM32F1 from STMicroelectronics is used as the core processor of data acquisition.By making full use of its internal peripheral modules and combining with external sensors and signal processing circuits,various electrical and mechanical performances of ultrasonic motor can be tested.Then the system can be used to evaluate and improve ultrasonic motor.The hardware design method of the system is introduced in detail.The two design ideas of the sine wave distortion of the driving voltage are designed and compared,and the compensation design for the measurement error is introduced.The host computer is written in LabVIEW and can process and display the test data collected by the lower computer.At the same time,the tester provides a simple and convenient test interface.The system has the characteristics of comprehensive test function,accuracy to meet the requirements of use and ease of use.
