Vehicle Emissions Testing The Host Computer System Development

With the hard air pollution in urban, the more attention to vehicle exhaust pollution and controlling has been taken. Developing advanced vehicle exhaust test system has important reality and long-run significance.Taking the introduced AVL Emission Test Equipments as the development object, this paper sets up a vehicle exhaust host computer system and establishes a distributed computer system as controlling scheme. By serial transmission technology and the AK communication protocol among the emission test equipments, the hardware is founded. By directed to object programming technique and visual programming language, the software of host computer system is developed.The developed system can control emission bench remotely, transmit data and generate test report automatically. Lastly, the ECE1504 Cycle tests have been done with the developed system. The test results indicate that the developed system can replace entirely prior manual operation method, improve working efficiency, and reduce manual error. Furthermore, operation interface of the developed system is friendly, the precision of test data is high, the running of the system is reliable, and the target of the project is reached.
