With the rapid development of Internet of Things and big data technology,urban construction has been changed from traditional city to smart city,and street lamp system,as an important part of smart city,is also being upgraded and improved.At present,most of the road lighting system is still under general control and manual inspection,which leads to long time of ineffective lighting,serious waste of energy and reduction of the service life of the equipment.ZigBee is a new wireless network technology,which has the advantages of low power consumption,low speed and high reliability.It has been widely used in many fields of smart city construction,such as smart home,smart street lamp,smart medical treatment,industrial automation and so on.Cluster-Tree routing algorithm and AODVjr routing algorithm both are the traditional ZigBee routing algorithms.The former algorithm is simple,low complexity and has no routing overhead,but the hop counts is too large and the energy consumption of nodes is unbalanced.The latter can effectively reduce the hop counts and balance the network energy by routing,but the unrestricted broadcast mechanism greatly increases the routing overhead,and resulting in network transmission congestion and excessive energy consumption.In this thesis,the improved algorithm combines the advantages of two traditional algorithms.The improvements are as follows:(1)To solve the problems of too many forwarding hops and long transmission path,the content of neighbor table is redesigned and the neighbor nodes are included in the scope of one hop.(2)Aiming at the problem of unbalanced energy consumption in the network,the energy classification mechanism is introduced,which divides the energy of nodes into three levels: high,middle and low.This mechanism protects the nodes with low depth and large traffic,limits the use of low-energy nodes,and avoids the formation of network segmentation.(3)In order to solve the problem of broadcast packets overflow easily,the broadcast direction and radius of RREQ packets in routing discovery process are limited.The number of redundant and invalid routing packets in the network is reduced,the network overhead is cut down,and the broadcast storm is avoided.NS2-2.35 simulation platform is built to compare the improved algorithm with the traditional algorithm.The simulation results show that the improved algorithm has the lowest average hop counts,and which is 18% and 12.8% lower than Cluster-Tree and AODVjr in average transmission delay,and 12.5% and 24% higher than Cluster-Tree and AODVjr in percentage of residual energy,respectively.According to the needs of the project and verifying the performance of the improved algorithm,an intelligent lighting system for street lamps is designed.The system consists of street lamp nodes,the central controller,the coordinator,background management system and so on.Through carrying the improved algorithm and the traditional algorithm,the service life of the node is tested.The results show that the improved algorithm prolongs 15.5% and 27.3% in service life of the node respectively compared with Cluster-Tree and AODVjr.Then the software and hardware functions of the system are tested.The results show that the system runs normally in the background system,and the network performance and control functions meet the expected requirements,which has a certain practical value.
