Along with the development of social economy and technology,more and more high-tech products step into people's lives,like smart phones and smart TV,and the smart home is coming.At the same time,the average residential electricity demand grows continuously,and the proportion of ordinary residential load in total social load becomes bigger and bigger.Also,household waste of electricity is ubiquitous.Energy saving,environmental protection and low carbon life is the developmental theme of current society,allowing users to know the electricity consumption details and cultivate a good habit can effectively reduce energy consumption and ppower bills.Home energy management system includes energy information acquisition hardware part and management algorithm software part.Considering the real-time price and household distributed energy,it is based on appliance characteristic to provide the best utilization plan,reduce the grid peak valley difference and improve user revenue.Combining with the demands of HEMS,a household energy monitoring system is designed in this paper,which can realize the function of electric energy information acquisition,remote control,data storage and information visualization and so on.The system adopts hierarchical design,including sensory layer,communication layer and application layer.It is composed of smart outlet,family gateway and network server.It transmits data through ZigBee wireless network in the room and transmits remote data through the Internet.Smart outlet is directly connected with appliance,using STC microcontroller and energy metering chip CS5463.It can measure voltage,current,power and other parameters,both with wireless communication and relay control functions.The home gateway mainly realizes the goal of communication protocol conversion betwwen the indoor network and the remote network.Based on ARM9 embedded board,the home gateway software is introduced in detail,including cross compile environment building,Linux system transplant and application design.Network server program is designed by JSP/Servlet.User can query energy information and remote control on the page through the browser.In addition,based on the traditional B/S structure,the network server program adds TCP server function,which establishs a TCP long connection with home gateway to transmit energy information outdoors.Considering mobile phone,personal computer and other application platform,the system has strong expansibility,which can be applied to advanced metering system in smart grid and smart home system.The system has passed the test of Shanghai Automation Instrumentation and runs in the Jiaxing PV demonstration region.It is stable,operates easily and achieves the design goals.
