Traffic impact assessment is an important means to coordinate the development of urban construction projects and surrounding transportation systems.The use of traffic planning simulation software to conduct traffic prediction and traffic operation index analysis of project traffic impact assessment is an important auxiliary tool for conducting refined traffic impact assessment.The currently used macro or micro traffic models are not sufficient to comprehensively and carefully assess the extent of traffic impact.Therefore,it is necessary to construct a traffic analysis model suitable for traffic impact assessment work.Based on the basic theory of traffic impact assessment and mesoscopic traffic simulation,this paper focuses on the application of the mesoscopic traffic simulation model in traffic impact assessment.Firstly,the main contents and basic theoretical methods of project traffic impact assessment are clarified,and the applicability of mesoscopic traffic simulation model in traffic impact assessment is analyzed.Then,the modeling method of Mesoscopic traffic model is studied,and the key issues such as intersection modeling,traffic cell and matrix splitting,model checking,and traffic assignment were studied.The theoretical framework and method flow of traffic model suitable for traffic impact assessment were proposed,and the traffic impact assessment model based on VISUM simulation platform was established.Finally,Combining with the Shenzhen Lepu International Center project to establish a model for analysis,verify the validity and scientificity of the simulation model method described above.The research indicates that the establishment of the mesoscopic traffic simulation model suitable for traffic impact assessment can reflect the actual traffic operation status,realize the quantitative evaluation of the traffic system,and provide an effective model method for traffic impact assessment of urban construction projects.
