With the rapid development of electronic information technology and the popularization of portable electronic products,USB interface technology has been widely used because of its superior power management characteristics.As a CNC power supply chip,facing the impact of large current,it can provide more reliable and accurate current protection.At the same time,good chip design is also of great significance to reduce chip power consumption.However,as the functions of palmtop terminal devices become more and more abundant,the power consumption also rises sharply,which puts forward higher requirements for the endurance of intelligent devices.At present,lithium battery technology is in bottleneck,and new energy battery technology has not been popularized.How to charge quickly has become a new idea to solve the problem of poor battery endurance.This paper is based on the latest version of USB PD protocol 3.0 to design and explore the CNC power chip.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.The USB-PD protocol,power management and communication structure are briefly described,and the design direction and ideas of NC power chip are introduced.2.Design the state machine jump and function of the device policy management layer,policy engine layer,protocol layer and physical layer of the content of the USB PD 3.0 protocol,as well as the core function that supports USB Type-A and USB Type-C dual-port fast charging.Among them,USB Type-A port supports QC 3.0 protocol,USB Type-C port supports USB PD 3.0 protocol and QC 3.0 protocol.Because the above two types of interfaces support QC 3.0 protocol,the designed QC 3.0 protocol is reusable.3.The core functions of communication module are verified and analyzed by USB PD logic analyzer and oscilloscope.The test results show that the NC power chip designed based on the latest USB PD protocol can be compatible with different types of fast charging devices.At the same time,based on the USB Type-C interface,the design goal of high-power charging is realized.In the PPS mode,real-time power negotiation can be carried out to meet the different power requirements of different devices.Realizing a power adapter can solve many problems.The charging demand of different equipments can reduce environmental pollution and waste of resources.In addition,the NC power supply chip can transmit data in the range of 270 to 330 kHz,which greatly improves the applicability and robustness of the design.Through the design and analysis of NC power supply chip,this paper points out the experience of USB power supply chip design in compatibility and low power consumption design,and analyses and considers the existing problems in the design,which plays a certain reference role for USB power supply chip to achieve safer and faster charging under high current and reduce the loss of transmission voltage.
