China shipbuilding industry has a great development in recent years,with the vessel enter the United States the tail pipe tail seal need not oil-water interface,or the use of biodegradable lubricating oil.Therefore,many ship owners require the vessel design to be followed the requirements of the VGP.The biodegradable lubricating oil in the shipbuilding industry is normally using,however,recently a lot of the tail shaft bearing high temperature phenomenon happened during sea trial or mooring test,so many shipbuilder consider the base reason of the high temperature is biodegradable lubricating oil used on vessel.Propulsion shafting is the key point for the vessel.According to the shipbuilding contract practice,if the vessel has a big defective,the owners can break the contract(reject the ship).Also can be apply compensate from shipyard,according to the operating profit loss or the other to replace the extra cost of ship etc.In this thesis,in order to find the real reason of the high temperature,the principle of the application of the three moment equation in the shaft system is derived from a certain bulk carrier,and the attention items are briefly introduced,and the application and prediction of the bearing reaction force coefficient in the design stage are presented.This thesis presents the application of thermodynamics in the cooling mode of stern shaft bearings,and introduces the principle of the friction theory between the shaft and the bearing in the boundary lubrication and dry friction.Also,Using MATLAB's powerful matrix calculation ability and the visualization to calculate the oil film bearing capacity under the condition of lubricating oil in the stern shaft full immersion in the stern shaft bearing.Some properties of biodegradable lubricating oil are briefly introduced in this thesis.Finally,Summarize some issues for the analysis of the tail shaft bearing high temperature phenomenon during the vessel turn big corner and normal running.
